Mini Camper Pincushion

How much do you love this pincushion? It's one of three mini camper patterns in Fresh Quilts Magazine Spring/Summer 2014 issue. These are really cute. While reorganizing my scraps I thought I should use some Tula Pink scraps to make this. A little bit of denim cut from jeans alterations made this a little more durable. I also lined the cotton side panels with a lightweight fusible to make it a bit more sturdy. All I need to do is search for some coordinating buttons for wheels and attach a handle for the door.

The pattern was a little confusing but I made the best of it. I absolutely love it!!!

I won a swatch pack of tula pink's new Acacia fabric line this week and i used the 2.5" squares to make a pouch and also the beginnings of a pillow!

I might wait for the fabric release to finish this pillow so i can add more Acacia to it.

Quilt label

I finally put a Tula Pink label on my daughter's Neptune quilt. It is now finished!

#ssswap gift arrived!!!

I was a part of the twitter #ssswap this past December. The idea was that we would make a wish list and our secret partner would purchase or make something on that list for us, so long as it was under $15. This is the swap gift I received from Julie of Intrepid Thread, have a look at her blog!



Can you believe it? She must have known I'm Tula Pink's #1 fan!!! I love the little pouch made from Neptune and look at all the fat quarters she sent of Neptune, Hushabye and Parisville!!! I was so excited and still can't believe how generous she was!!! Thanks again Julie!

Neptune spotted...

I was at my local quilt store and look what I saw! A cute apron made of Neptune fabric by Tula Pink (Moda). Unfortunately they have been sold out of the precuts and bolts for at least 6 months. I wish I was able to get some!!!

Neptune Quilt Top Finished

I finally added the borders to my daughter Marisol's Neptune quilt. I struggled over what borders to add since the fabric I needed is no longer available on Etsy. I guess there is a real shortage of Neptune at any price!
