Travel Pillowcase
A friend of mine asked me to make him a travel pillowcase for him. He travels about 5 days out of the week so I am going to make him two! He likes the wood grain print and asked for some options for the pillowcase body. Of course you can tell I'm partial to Tula Pink!

A busy month!
This is how much thread I have used this past month, a 5000 yard roll of white... OMG! But that's not including all the various non-white thread I've also used. It has truly been a busy month for me!
I'm happy to say I finally finished my little Antonio's pillowcase I meant to give him for his birthday October last. He's crazy about fruit!

I've been tagged :)
Okay... so not that kind of tagging. But Jenny at Sew Kind of Wonderful tagged me and asked me to answer some get to know you questions...
1.) What is your favorite snack?
I love Jalapeno kettle chips but sadly since I have given birth the third time, they don't taste the same.
2.) Besides quilting what your next favorite hobby?
Fabric shopping, in stores and on-line! I love touching, feeling and collecting!!!
3.) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Near an ocean or water. Love to live in NYC someday or California.
4.) Where does your inspiration come from?
Lots of places, I read blogs daily, flickr and enjoy films and magazines. I usually make things I want and love.
5.) How much fabric are you hoarding right now?
Likely a couple hundred yards. OOPS!
6.) Do you wear makeup, and if you do, how often do you put it on?
Yes I do, sadly not often enough but I usually wear some eye make up everytime I leave the house. Every couple days...complete makeup? Once every three months?
7.) What is your favorite part of the quilting process?
I LOVE hand sewing binding... which I call channeling my INNER Bright Star.. Remember Abbie Cornish from that movie??? LOVE!
8.) Are you a part of any local Quilt Guilds?
Nope.
9.) How many quilting projects are you currently working on?
Actively about 5-6. In process 30ish?
10.) If we went to a movie, what type of movie would you pick out?
Period films are my favorite.
11.) If we went out for dinner, what restaurant would you pick?
Likely Japanese.
Something pink
Today I made this duvet for my little daughter's crib. It's made from a RL sheet that is so soft, warm and cool at the same time. I know she will enjoy sleeping with it.

Mug Rug Swap Complete
Here is my completed mug rug for the current swap on Flickr... I really hope my partner likes it. I thought this was a green fabric I used for the background but someone remarked what a nice aqua it was... which is a color my partner dislikes. UGH! I really hope she likes it despite this error!
I really love the back of the mug rug even more, as I love this grey linen Heather Ross print! oxoxo!

Rug Quilt Finished!
I finally bound and quilted this rug quilt and I think it turned out to be absolutely stunning! It's a pattern I've had for YEARS by J. Michelle Watts called Spanish Textile. Simply beautiful design!
I used a zig zag in neon green thread to showcase the seams...
And some graphic Robert Kaufman for the back!

Mug Rug Progress
New quilt started...
Like I don't already have enough quilts in progress... though I did finish machine quilting two of them today so I guess I deserve at least one new start. I am undecided on this one. I think I would like it better had I switched the aqua and grey. Ugh. Too bad, already all cut. Guess this is how it will look!...

Quick Curve Ruler!
A couple weeks ago I received my Quick Curve Ruler, which is designed by a blogger at Sew Kind of Wonderful, Jenny Pedigo. I have a couple project rulers already so I thought, why not try this one as well?
My first cut with this ruler was so easy! Her instructions were spot on and well translated by words and pictures. If you have time to look at her blog, you will see she has so many tempting photos of her quilts made with this ruler, you might just buy it yourself!
She's also doing a QAL for those of you who like to join in and right now she's even giving away a free pattern and ruler!!! Seriously, go and enter!!!
